Altars and Goddess images by artist, Toni Roberts, in celebration of the Goddess in everyone. My work addresses the Divine spirit within each of us. My focus is on the much neglected Divine Feminine Principle contained within all humanity; male and female of the species. It is my purpose to uplift, inspire, heal and inform with Goddess-Orisha-oriented art which contains elements of traditional African spirituality as well as Christianity, Buddhism and other religious and spiritual disciplines. Most of my work is multi-media. I might start with an original collage, then create a three-dimensional scene using the collage as a prop and adding items I have either collected or handcrafted. As a final step, I photograph the entire scene. Hopefully the spiritual power within my work awakens the spiritual power within the viewer and makes of her or his space "holy ground!"
